"Been a long road to follow
Been there and gone tomorrow
Without saying goodbye to yesterday
Are the memories I hold still valid?
Or have the tears deluded them?
Maybe this time tomorrow
The rain will cease to follow
And the mist will fade into one more today
Something somewhere out there keeps calling
Am I going home?
Will I hear someone singing solace to the silent moon?
Zero gravity, what's it like?
Am I alone?
Is somebody there beyond these heavy aching feet
Still the road keeps on telling me to go on
Something is pulling me
I feel the gravity of it all."

(Maaya Sakamoto, "Gravity")

Graphite, 11x14".

I remember looking at this picture a few years ago and it was one of the reasons I really started to put a lot of effort into art. The shading is beautiful and realistic, but I really love the way it still manages to have its own unique style. Beautiful job :).

One of the better pieces I have seen on DA in terms of detail and skill.

Quite beautiful work.

I'm speechless, I just love every piece you create! And your technique is so brilliant, it kinda gives me the feeling that you do it very easily, thought I think it's not. The thing that amazes me the most is that you don't just copy the reference image, but you combine a few of them or even draw some details from your head! And I've noticed one specific thing about your drawings - you always draw outlines and I really like it!

Thank you again, you're too kind! Yes, you noticed correctly about the outlines... Years ago I drew lots of stuff inspired by Art Nouveau, and I've been drawing that way ever since. :)

You're welcome! It's really interesting that your drawings are realistic and yet those outlines give them a cartoon like tone.
