thank you. i have run out of watercolor paper and got some bristol (art shop owner tells me it is vellum) as an alternative. i see in you other works that you have used bristol. so i hope it will do fine under water.
In my experience, Bristol is fine for mixed media where you use watercolor washes as a base for other media (colored pencils, in my case). I feel it absorbs water media too quickly. Arches board is more versatile, even if you make a mistake you can just apply a lot of water and blot it out. And the best part is, it doesn't buckle.
