Artisans: Glassmaker by MJWilliam Artisans: Glassmaker by MJWilliam
Yes, my back is better... Squeezed in one last one before the new year, yay!

Inspired by the Venetian carnival and the famous Murano glassmakers. The background is referenced from a stained glass from the St. Vitus cathedral in Prague, created, but of course, by the one and only Alphonse Mucha.

Watercolor, colored pencils, and ink on Bristol, 11X14". Details: mariawilliam.net/glassmaker-de…

Happy New Year everyone!

Thanks! Believe it or not I have my moments when I struggle with anatomy, in the end it's all about repetition and good reference. :)

I hope so to, because of the Military I lived in Europe and traveled... it was inexpensive while here so why not... but those in the states suffering the waning economy this type of trip is very expensive. But if you save up over time and find one of those rare deals, you would be surprised where you will end up.

Well, actually, traveling abroad has always been expensive here, so saving up is the only way to do it for us starving artists. I'm saving for Japan right now. :D

Ok, if you go to Japan your packaging me with you... there is no way I would let you go without me. I want to go there, Australia, China, and other places as well. We were going to take the train up to Great Britain and go over to stone henge, following that were training up to scottland to take a look at Lockness... Future plans of course... hehehe since we live in Belgium now, it is about two hours up the road to the Calais Dover tunnel.

Oh I hear ya! My top dream vacation would be Asia (Japan/China/Thailand), then England/Ireland. Australia also sounds awesome.

My husband's been to Belgium, liked it lots. :)
